Mel was a great source of inspiration and, despite his health problems and immobility, he was always mentally strong and positive and would not be deterred from a ceaseless quest for experiences, knowledge and understanding.
We have a treasure trove of movies and music which he put together for us with great panache, in readily accessible formats which are now available at the flick of a switch.
We grew to love and admire Mel for his qualities of patience, personal and technical communication skills, and wide knowledge base and we will remember him with affection always.
